Oslo has a zone-based parking system within the Ring 1 city centre area.
Street Parking
Zone-based pricing within the city centre (Takstgruppe). Central zones (Zone 2): approximately 90 NOK/hour for fossil fuel vehicles, 45 NOK/hour for electric vehicles. Maximum 2 hours. Paid Monday–Saturday 9:00–20:00.
Residential Permits (Beboerparkering)
Residents in specific zones can purchase annual residential parking permits for unlimited parking within their zone.
Garages
Operated by Aimo Park, Q-Park, and APCOA. Hourly rates: approximately 55–98 NOK. Central garages like Sentrum P-hus: 58–65 NOK/hour, often open 24 hours.
Winter Restrictions
Studded tyre fee applies during winter months. Diesel vehicle bans on high-pollution days. EV charging available at municipal charging stations.
